This wine is made from 100% St. Laurent hand picked grapes over limestone, loess, clay and marl soils. 2014 had quite warm temperatures in winter & spring, flowering was
3 to 4 weeks ahead of the norm, with a lot of rainfalls in July and August, but with sunny weather in September which culminated in a hectic harvest time to pick the healthy grapes as fast as possible. Classical mash fermentation for 3 weeks & matured in 100% barriques (2/3 used and 1/3 new oak.) Wine was left for 2 years on its yeast. Ruby red colour with an intense aroma of dark berries. Charming and vibrant on the palate, very dense, concentrated structure and a balanced acidity with a nice long finish. Suits perfectly stewed lamb, dark meat and game dishes. Certified organic.
