Yecla DO
The Yecla Denominación de Origen (DO) is a wine-producing region located in the southeast of Spain, in the province of Murcia. This DO is known for its wine production, particularly red wines, and it has gained recognition for the quality of its wines.
The predominant grape variety in the Yecla DO is Monastrell (also known as Mourvèdre), which thrives in the region’s hot and dry climate. Monastrell wines are rich, full-bodied, and often characterized by dark fruit flavors.
Coming from Mediterranean-continentalized climate with its arid & harsh environment of very cold winters, and extremely hot summers. Planted on limestone with a thick subsoil with the presence of carbonates and a sandy surface with clay formations which are poor in organic matter but quite healthy and permeable.
Vinification
Manual late harvest, in 20 kg boxes, intended to take care of the integrity of each grape, preventing it from being damaged (even from its own weight). Following a very artisinal process, only the very best bunches are selected for this wine. Fermented with indigenous yeast in stainless steel tanks at 24 degrees Celsius and macerated for 21 days before its malolactic conversion. Aging is done in French Allier oak barrels for a minimum period of 18 months.

Appearance is intense with a cherry red colour. Nose is elegant & reminiscent of ripe red fruit on a base of smoked spices with a velvety and delicate palate upon tasting. Certified Vegan.
