Humus loess loam above, yellow limestone marl below supported by light slate and granite. The high, steep rock faces are warmed up by the sun and slowly transfer this heat to the vines, while at the same time winds are constantly blowing through the Rhine plain. The vines stand with “warm feet” in the cooling winds. The wines here are particularly powerful, large and at the same time very elegant. Chardonnay has come of age in the Baden region of Germany! Such a deep & complex nose, in which the aromas of candied lemons, fresh nuts & wild herbs are interwoven. Super-elegant & super-focused on the very concentrated palate, this shoots off in the direction on infinity with warp drive. Just 12.5% abv & that really helps it to give it the totally pristine quality.
