Description
The Estate
The estate wines are characterized by the variety of vineyards and are therefore the calling card of this winery. The vines ripen exclusively in the prime locations around Bechtheim and Westhofen. The characteristic variety of the soils and the high maturity give them their special expression. A creation of young vines, planted on the traditional soil of the Bechtheimer terroir. Through strong reduction in yield, these young vines unfold their full power. Accurately developed and matured over several months to provide an extraordinary sensory experience. The result is innovative, elegant & a very fine wine.
Wine
The grapes for the rosé come from organically farmed vineyards around Bechtheim and the neighboring communities and were selectively read into small standard containers. The skins of the Pinot Noir grapes give this Dreissigacker its delicate pastel colour. As usual at Dreissigacker, great importance is attached to careful processing of the PNT & C. Rosé. In this respect, the transport of the grapes was carried out exclusively by falling pressure, the aging without the addition of treatment agents.
Style
In order to give the rosé its delicate pastel colour, the pressing process was deliberately gentle. As a result, only a small amount of the coloring is extracted from the skins of the berries. The wine matured 100% in stainless steel. It was then stored on the full yeast for five months and then on the fine yeast until it was bottled. The expansion in stainless steel barrels underscores the characteristics of the Pinot Noir grape variety: the Dreissigacker PNT & C. Rosé combines freshness, spice and elegance. The storage on the yeast gives it the necessary body and ensures harmony in the glass.
Slender, fine juicy type, with raspberry & hints of different berries with acidity & great freshness. The balance of freshness and fine flavor makes it the ideal accompaniment to food. This Dreissigacker Rosé goes particularly well with pasta dishes with seafood, such as spaghetti vongole. This wine gives a summery salad of watermelon, feta & mint that certain something. Certified Vegan & Organic.
Region
Rheinhessen is a very famous wine region in Germany, located in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It is one of the country’s 13 official wine regions and is known for its rich winemaking history and high-quality wines. Rheinhessen is the largest wine-producing region in Germany, covering an area of approximately 26,500 hectares of vineyards.
Rheinhessen lies to the west of the Rhine River and is bordered by the Nahe wine region to the northwest and the Pfalz wine region to the south. The region’s landscape is characterized by gently rolling hills and a temperate climate that is influenced by the river.
Climate & Terroir
Spring in Rheinhessen tends to be cool, which can be challenging for the early growth of grapevines. Frosts can occur in spring, posing a risk to the young buds.
Summers in Rheinhessen are generally warm, allowing the grapes to ripen and develop their flavors. However, the presence of the Rhine River and its cooling effect helps to prevent extreme heat waves.
The region benefits from a relatively long growing season, allowing the grapes to reach full maturity. This extended ripening period contributes to the development of complex flavors and balanced acidity in the wines.
The region’s moderate climate with warm days and cool nights in autumn is particularly favorable for the late ripening grape varieties like Riesling. This combination helps the grapes retain acidity while achieving sufficient sugar levels, leading to the production of high-quality wines.
Ideal drinking temperature 10° Celsius.
