Wine

A wonderful contrast to the Estate Wine, this Réserve presents darker fruit, more spice, a more thoughtful character, and more power – despite the moderate alcohol. Black cherry and blackberry couple with cocoa and some black liquorice, there is plenty of spice and the tannins are grippy, though fine. Well-balanced and good length, with a youthful character throughout. The wine will reward a few years of cellaring, but is also a delightful partner for roasted meats on a warm summer evening.

Region

Baden is situated in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg, bordering France to the west and Switzerland to the south. It stretches from the northern part of the Black Forest to the northern outskirts of the city of Basel.

Climate & Terroir

There wines are aged for an extended period to develop complexity, depth, and character with various aging techniques, such as aging in oak barrels, to impart additional flavors and textures to the wines.
