Description
A 2020
Holism and the pursuit of excellence go hand in hand. VIK A Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 showcases its fine terroir. It is a vibrant, tense and often linear wine with tannins that are rounded and restless. They make juicy progress through the mouth, delivering balanced acidity and evoking fresh aromas of red fruit and spices like black pepper. The palate is complex with many layers of flavours interwoven with its aromas. Serving temperature: 16º – 18ºC.
Il Vino di Pico 2022
The grapes were left in pre-fermentative maceration for
2 days and, once alcoholic fermentation
with only indigenous yeast was complete, post-fermentation maceration was carried out for approximately 2 months including spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Once racked, the wine remained on the fine lees with continuous batonnage until June, after which it was put on clean lees and bottled in September 2023. Fermentation in 25 hectolitres cement vats, final three months of ageing in 10 hectolitres stainless steel containers. At increasingly longer intervals, on the day of the descending moon of the flowers, a remuage for each individual bottle was performed.
Aromas of dried fruit with some teak and dried earth.
Medium-bodied with creamy tannins and a juicy finish.
Elegant and delicious.
Cuvée Felix 2019
It takes a lot of courage to plant Cabernet Franc and Merlot in the Markgräflerland, as the usual vineyards are limited to the Burgundian varieties and Chasselas. That’s why, 15 years ago, the idea of planting Mediterranean vines here was met with wide scepticism. For quite some time now the Cuvée Felix stood out as one of the flagships of this winery. Over the years this noble Bordeaux blend, garnered a solid growing appraisal. A mature wine with aromas of cassis, chocolate and vanilla which is very dense and opulent with a fine structure and elegant tannins. This is not your typical German red wine and pairs extremely well with strong meat dishes or game.
Wines will be packed in a branded Holy Wine Box (ideal for gifts.)
