Description
This Chardonnay comes from parcels from the so called Kleinterassen above Herbolzheim, a little north of the famous Kaiserstuhl. Hand harvested at the end of September, this is fermented in stainless steel tanks before aged for 12 months in second year used oak casks. This full bodied Chardonnay is nutty with a slightly vegetal fragrance, with light yellow fruit aromas and delicately smoky wood nuances and mineral notes. Ripe and fairly creamy with light buttery notes and a persistent finish.
