Austria

Austria is renowned for its wine production, and the country boasts several distinct wine regions. I get wines from 2 of the major wine regions in Austria:

Niederösterreich (Lower Austria): is the largest wine-producing region in Austria and includes sub-regions such as Wachau, Kamptal, Kremstal, and Wagram. Having said that, some of Austria’s most outstanding red wines grow in Pannonian Lower Austria to the south and east of Vienna, with Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch forming the basis for characterful DAC wines in Carnuntum. All of Weingut Netzl & Christina wines come from this small sub-region.

Burgenland: Located in the eastern part of Austria, Burgenland is known for its red wines, particularly those made from the Blaufränkisch grape variety. It is also famous for its sweet wines, such as those produced in the sub-region of Neusiedlersee, which benefits from the influence of Lake Neusiedl. Gut Oggau is known for its organic and biodynamic practices, as well as its focus on producing natural wines with minimal intervention. The estate has gained recognition for their commitment to sustainable viticulture and winemaking.
